The festival is a collaboration of Exeter’s arts and culture organisations, who come together to produce an exciting programme of events aimed at young people.

The festival aspires to develop and share young people’s passion for writing.

We reach all sorts of young people through our programme of public events during October half term, as well as author events in schools during the week before the festival. As well as nurturing an interest in writing and stories, we run events with more specific aims such as our family event with British Sign Language for deaf and hearing participants, and a drama workshop for young people with concerns about mental wellbeing.
